Recycling waste

Everything you need to know about the changes in Welsh waste legislation

Recycling at Vale Holiday Parks

The Welsh Government has introduced some new regulations that require all businesses to separate their recyclable materials into different waste containers.

Why have these new regulations been introduced?

The changes aim to improve the quality and quantity of materials that are recycled and will support the Welsh Government's commitment to reach zero waste and reduce carbon emissions by 2050.

What are the changes?

These changes impact our Holiday Parks that are located in Wales:

  • Clarach Bay Holiday Village
  • Fishguard Holiday Park
  • Gilfach Holiday Village
  • Grondre Holiday Park
  • New Park Landshipping
  • Ocean Heights Leisure Park
  • ParcFarm Holiday Park
  • Porthkerry Leisure Park
  • The Village Holiday Park
  • Woodland Vale Holiday Park

All businesses in Wales must now provide facilities for the separation and recycling of waste onsite. We are ready to implement these changes at our parks but are waiting for our waste management company to deliver the correct bins and signage.

If you are a guest or holiday home owner at one of the parks listed above then you will shortly see separate bins for different recyclable materials on-park. Please follow the guidance below to separate your waste into the different bins provided.

I'm a holiday home owner, how do these new regulations impact me?

Whilst we await the rollout of the new bins, you must separate your waste as currently directed in the refuse and recycling area on the Park.

Please remember that under both the terms of the licence agreement and the park rules, you are required to comply with all laws and regulations whilst at the park.

Where can I find the right bin for my waste and recycling?

Our park maps will show you where the waste and recycling bins are located, or you can visit reception and our team will be happy to point you in the right direction.
